We normally have monthly meetings with a presenter or guest speaker via Zoom, and informal pub evenings and afternoon coffee and chat meet-ups. Some of our evenings are presented by native speakers or experts provided by the German embassy, others are led by in-house volunteers. Face-to-face meeting always have an opportunity for members to socialise over a drink.

At present our monthly meetings are online via ZOOM but we are resuming  the popular Kaffeekränzchen afternoons in person. 

 

We usually meet on the third Thursday of every month, but have a Summer break in July and August, and we don't meet in December. Meetings begin at 8pm, and are in two halves of 40 mins with a short break midway.

 

Via Zoom the fee is £3.50 for one meeting with a guest speaker, and £6 for two meetings. Social Zoom meetings (without a speaker) are free.

 

The German Circle is associated with Chelmsford Town Twinning and our twin town Backnang, Germany.
